Zhang Wei, associate professor at Zhengzhou University, is recognized as a young talent by the China Association for Science and Technology and an "Outstanding Scholar with High Downloads in Chinese Open Access" by Elsevier. He has also received the RIE Outstanding Young Scientist Award and was selected for the Henan Province Youth Talent Nurturing Program. Furthermore, he serves as a young core faculty member at a higher education institution in Henan Province. Zhang Wei holds multiple positions including executive vice director of the International Joint Laboratory for Water Cycle Simulation and Water Environment Protection in Henan Province, and vice director of the Zhengzhou Key Laboratory for Water Resources and Environment. He is also the vice secretary-general of the Fourth Water Resources Professional Committee of the China Society of Natural Resources, as well as a member of the Youth Committee for Water Supply and Drainage in Urban Areas. In addition, Zhang Wei serves as a junior editorial board member for several journals, including "Journal of Ecological Environment," "South-North Water Transfer and Water Science & Technology," "Results in Engineering," "Bulletin of Environmental Contamination and Toxicology," "Chinese Chemical Letters," and "China Water & Wastewater." He has successfully led over ten research projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National Postdoctoral Fund, among others.
Qingting Zuo obtained a doctorate in hydrology and water resources from Wuhan University of Hydraulic and Electric Power (now Wuhan University). He is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Hydraulic Science and Engineering, at Zhengzhou University. He serves as the director of the Center for Water Science Research, Zhengzhou University, the director of the Yellow River Institute for Ecological Protection & Regional Coordinated Development, Zhengzhou University, and the vice president of Henan Innovation Driven Development Research Institute. He is the editorial board member of 12 journals, the deputy editor-in-chief of “Journal of Water Resources and Water Engineering”, and the deputy director of the editorial board of “South-to-North Water Diversion and Water Conservancy Science and Technology”. He is engaged in teaching and research of hydrology and water environment.
