Dmitriy Viderman is an Assistant Professor at the School of Medicine at Nazarbayev University. He completed his specialty training in anesthesiology, intensive care, and pain medicine (internship, residency, followed by fellowships in acute and chronic pain medicine). At the school of medicine, he teaches several clerkships and courses, including anesthesiology, intensive care, emergency medicine, pulmonary medicine/critical care, neuroscience (sections related to anesthesiology and intensive care), clinical procedures, clinical simulation, and others. He conducts research projects in the areas of anesthesiology, intensive care, and pain medicine with a specific focus on outcomes research.
Dr. Karina Tapinova is pursuing a Ph.D. in Emergency
Medicine at the Medical University of Vienna, which began in October 2023. Dr. Karina
received a BSc and an MD from Nazarbayev University in 2017 and 2021, respectively.
Then, Dr. Karina worked as a Research Assistant
at the same university between 2021 and 2023.
Yerkin G. Abdildin graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) with a PhD in Industrial Engineering and a Master of Computer Science. He taught multi-disciplinary courses that were compulsory for students majoring in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Civil, Materials Science, and Aerospace Engineering at UIUC. He joined the School of Engineering and Digital Sciences at Nazarbayev University in December 2014. As a member of the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE), he developed the Bachelor of Engineering (2015), Master of Science (2018), and PhD (2019) programs and served as a member of the MAE Department’s PhD Admission Committee and MSc Admission Committee. He is currently the Coordinator of the Industry Committee and a member of the Research Committee at MAE. He is a member (MILT) of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
