Dr. Roberto Gabbiadini works as a gastroenterologist in the IBD Center at Humanitas Research Hospital (Milan, Italy). He graduated in Medicine in 2016 at the University of the Pavia and subsequently specialized in Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy at Humanitas University in 2021. In recent years, his research has focused on inflammatory bowel diseases. He is a member of the Italian Group for the study of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IG-IBD). He also performs endoscopy dedicated to IBD patients, and he is a sub-investigator in clinical trials of experimental therapies for IBD at Humanitas Research Hospital. He also cooperates in a multidisciplinary team composed of dermatologists, rheumatologists, and colorectal surgeons for the management of extraintestinal manifestations or surgical treatment of IBD patients.
Paolo Vinciguerra is a Full Professor at Humanitas University and director of the Ophthalmology Department/Eye Center at Humanitas Research Hospital. He received his Medical Degree from the University of Milan in 1982, and his Ophthalmology Degree from the Ophthalmology Institute of Milan, Italy, in 1986. He was a Visitor Professor at Ohio State University AA from 2003 to 2011, Ophthalmology Department, USA, and he has been Adjunct Professor at the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, Ohio State University, since 2013. His research interests include Vitreo-Retinal Surgery; Cataract Surgery; Refractive Surgery; Corneal surgery and Pathologies (PTK, keratoplastic, Dsaek, Cross linking); and Glaucoma.
Alessandro Armuzzi is a Full Professor and Director of the Postgraduate Residency Program for Digestive System Diseases at IBD Center, Humanitas Research Hospital, Humanitas University, Milan, Italy. He gained his MD from the University of Bologna, Italy, and completed his internal medicine and gastroenterology training at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Rome, Italy, before training in IBD at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, UK. His research includes genetics, diagnostic modalities to assess disease activity, clinical prediction and outcome, the design and conduct of multicentre real-world trials, and advanced therapy. His research interests focus on the genetics of IBD (past), diagnostic modalities to assess Crohn’s disease activity, clinical prediction and outcomes in clinical trials, and biologic therapy in IBD. He serves as a member of several gastroenterology associations (Italian Group for the Study of Inflammatory Bowel Disease; Scientific Committee of the Italian Society of Gastroenterology), as Chair of the ClinCom of ECCO, and he has authored many IBD publications.
