Dr. Fernando Sánchez-Juanes is an Associate Professor at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Salamanca. He completed his Ph.D. studies at the University of Salamanca with the thesis "Glycolipids and phospholipids of the membrane of fat globules of cow's milk and their implication in the protection of the neonate against enteropathogens" in 2007. In addition, he has an h-index of 14 and co-authored 41 publications, receiving 1117 citations (Scopus date from 21 December 2023).
Dr. José M. Muñoz-Félix attained a degree in Biotechnology (2009) and Historia (2009) from the University of Salamanca. He completed his doctoral thesis in the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology at the University of Salamanca (2009–2015). He worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Barts Cancer Institute (Queen Mary University of London, United Kingdom) from 2016 to the end of 2020, at which time he returned to the University of Salamanca as Assistant Professor. Since June 2022, he has been a hired doctor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He dedicates himself to the investigation of non-angiogenic tumors and metastasis and design strategies to inhibit their growth.
