Ovidiu Oniga is a Professor at the “Iuliu Hatieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. He received his PhD from the same university and is currently serving as a doctoral thesis coordinator. Additionally, he is the President of the SSFR Cluj-Napoca branch of the Romanian Society of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Professor Oniga’s research interests are primarily focused on rational drug design, heterocyclic synthesis (especially azole compounds), computational chemistry, molecular spectroscopy, and ADMET and QSAR studies. He is also involved in in vitro studies on bacterial and fungal strains and cancer cells, with a particular focus on antimicrobial and anticancer activity.
