Yi Zhang earned a doctorate in animal genetics, breeding, and reproduction from the School of Animal Science and Technology at China Agricultural University in 2006. Presently, he serves as a professor at the School of Animal Science and Technology at China Agricultural University. His research interests encompass animal diversity and population genetics, cattle, genomics, and genomic selection. With 74 publications, 1365 citations, and an h-index of 22 (Scopus, as of October 21, 2023), he has made significant contributions to his field.
Jie Cao is an associate professor at the College of Veterinary Medicine at China Agricultural University. His main scientific research direction is dairy cow diseases. His current main research directions are the comprehensive prevention and control of nutritional and metabolic diseases in perinatal dairy cows, the diagnosis and control of abortion-related infectious diseases, and calf diarrhoea,  prevention and control of pneumonia, and published 35 domestic and foreign academic papers. He is a veterinary consultant to Beijing Shounong Animal Husbandry Technology Co., Ltd. and Modern Animal Husbandry Group Co., Ltd.
