Oana Mesaros is involved in undergraduate teaching, especially for the study program in French. Regarding scientific activity, her doctoral studies are ongoing, the topic addressed being the involvement of innate immune mechanisms in the pathogenesis and treatment of lymphoid leukemias. She is currently a specialist hematologist at the Ion Chiricuta Oncology Institute, Cluj-Napoca.
Laura Zaharie is a resident doctor in medical oncology and her current research is based on a literature review of prostate cancer and technological advances in the diagnosis, treatment, prognosis and follow-up of the oncological pathology. She describes herself as an ambitious, confident person and a good team player and she is always interested in keeping up to date with new studies and collaborating on new projects.
Mihnea Zdrenghea is the head of the hematology department and residency coordinator. He is involved in teaching activity at the undergraduate level, mainly for study programs in French and also in the research activity of the discipline, being a Ph.D. supervisor since 2015. He leads a research laboratory that includes the biobanking activity of hematological tumors, including acute leukemias and chronic lymphoid leukemias.
