Dr. Giulia Di Prima is now an Assistant Professor at the Department of Biological Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technologies, University of Palermo. She also teaches Pharmacology at the Scuola di Osteopatia AISeRCo since 2018. She received her PhD in Molecular and Biomolecular Sciences from the University of Palermo in February 2018. Her scientific interests are focused on the study of ex vivo permeation/penetration, oromucosal formulations, ocular administration, nanosystems, drug delivery systems, biopolymers, waste recovery, cosmetics/cosmeceuticals, buccal tablets, microparticles, sublingual patches, and dissolution kinetics.
Vera Panzarella is an Assistant Professor at the University of Palermo, Italy, and a member of Italy Società Italiana di Patologia e Medicina Orale (SIPMO). She obtained her Ph.D. at the University of Palermo in 2008. She mainly studies Cancer Diagnostics, Cancer Biology, Cancer Biomarkers, Clinical Oncology, Molecular Oncology, Immunohistochemistry and Oncogenetics. She has an h-Index of 19, and her papers have been cited more than 1300 times (Scopus, 3 November 2023).
Viviana De Caro is an Associate Professor in Pharmaceutical Technology at The University of Palermo, Italy. She received her PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from The University of Palermo in 1995. She mainly studies involve: Controlled Drug Delivery Systems; bioadhesive buccal delivery systems; lipid-micro and nano particles; Biobased excipients and actives from waste recovery; drugs absorption from the oral cavity (buccal and sublingual mucosae) to provide the rationale for the development and optimization of innovative pharmaceutical products. She has an h-Index of 20, and her papers have been cited more than 1300 times (Scopus, 2 November 2023).
