Author Biographies

David R. Horton is a GS-15 Research Entomologist with responsibilities for developing new methods for controlling psyllid pests in potatoes and tree fruit. His research emphasizes the use of integrated pest management, biological control, cultural control, and lesser toxic chemicals to manage pests. Ongoing studies focus on developing tools for pear and potato growers to use in managing pear and potato psyllids, with emphasis on incorporating biological control into IPM programs. He has published over 120 papers in peer-reviewed journals, including several book chapters and invited reviews.
