Author Biographies

Hazim O. Khalifa is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Veterinary Medicine, College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, United Arab Emirates University and an Associate Professor at the Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Kafrelsheikh University, Egypt. He completed his Ph.D. in Biofunctional Science and Technology at Hiroshima University and his Master of Veterinary Science at Kafrelsheikh University. He is a molecular pharmacologist and microbiologist with extensive laboratory experience related to veterinary medicine, particularly in the fields of antibacterial agents and the mechanisms of bacterial resistance, antifungal agents and the mechanisms of fungal resistance, anti-cancer agents, anti-parasitic agents, and developing novel resistance modifying agents. His research interest was also extended to uncover the molecular mechanisms responsible for microbial (fungi and bacteria) resistance in human, animal, and food as One Health Unite.
