Dr. Gnanasekar Munirathinam is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford. His research is focused on chemoprevention of prostate cancer and gene therapy for prostate cancer. He has a broad background in cancer biology and expertise in key research areas. Dr. Munirathinam has a long-standing interest in understanding the molecular mechanisms of how prostate cancer cells acquire aggressive behaviour and gained significant experience in this area of research. His research is focused on chemoprevention of prostate cancer and gene therapy for prostate cancer.
