Małgorzata Mrowicka is an Assistant Professor and Lecturer in Biochemistry at the Department of Clinical Chemistry and Biochemistry at the Medical University of Lodz. Her main field of research is determination of the meaning and scope of the level of free radicals, oxidative stress, and antioxidant capacity as a factor involved in the pathogenesis of human diseases.
Ireneusz Majsterek is a Professor and Head of the Department of Medical Chemistry and Biochemistry. He worked as a Professor and Head of the Department of Chronopharmacology in Poland. He completed his PhD at the University of Lodz. He received numerous awards, including the Scientific Award from the European Association for Vision and Eye Research, the Medal from the Polish Ministry of Science & Higher Education, and the Scientific Award from the Medical University of Lodz. He is serving as Principal and Associate Investigator in charge of research projects conducted for MNiSW, NCN, NASA, and NIH. His research interests include clinical and basic science research relating to human diseases. He is an expert in DNA mutations and epimutations, from basic evolutionary aspects to translational applications in genetic and epigenetic diagnostics and therapy.
