Gen Zou is a researcher at the Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences. He graduated from Zhejiang University with a doctorate in 2008. Later, he entered the Shanghai Academy of Biological Sciences of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He chaired many projects, such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Science and Technology's "863" plan sub-project, and the Shanghai Natural Science Foundation. He published more than 20 SCI papers in famous journals such as Biotechnol Biofuels, EM, and Cell Discov., with three authorized patents. His research areas include (1) genome editing of filamentous fungi; (2) genetic modification of expression systems of filamentous fungi and construction of heterologous expression chassis for filamentous fungi; and (3) filamentous fungus signalling pathways and related transcriptional regulation molecules.
Yongjun Wei is currently an associate professor at the School of Pharmacy, at Zhengzhou University. His main research directions are the transformation and synthesis of active molecules in Chinese herbal medicine and the development and application of human and environmental microbial resources. He has published more than 80 papers, including more than 60 SCI papers and more than 50 first-author correspondences (inclusive). He serves as the editorial board member of 5 international SCI journals, including BMC Microbiology, Journal of Applied Microbiology (2021-2023), and Heliyon; and he serves as the youth editorial board member/editorial committee member of 4 domestic English journals, including The Innovation (IF: 32.1) and iMeta. He has been approved for 23 patents, including 11 international patents. He serves as a member of the Clean Water Advisory Group of the International Association of Microbiology (AMI Clean Water Advisory Group member), a director of the Henan Provincial Society of Microbiology, and an expert of the Rexinchang Think Tank.
Lingbo Qu is currently the vice president (school level) of Zhengzhou University, responsible for technological innovation, achievement transformation, and the promotion of key work of the school. Dr. Qu obtained a doctorate in drug analysis from China Pharmaceutical University in June 1997. From July 1984 to October 2001, he served as an assistant, lecturer, associate professor, and professor in the Chemistry Department of Zhengzhou University. In April 2000, he served as deputy dean of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Zhengzhou University. From 2003 to 2007, he served as Vice President of Anyang Normal University. From 2007 to 2015, he served as Vice President of Henan University of Technology. From 2015 to 2017, he served as the dean of the Luoyang Institute of Technology. His main research field is food and drug safety testing and evaluation, and he has published more than 300 academic papers. He concurrently serves as the vice president of the Nutrition Branch of the China Cereals and Oils Society, the president of the Henan Bioengineering Society, the vice president of the Henan Chemical Industry Society, and the vice chairman of the Henan Food Society.
