Elisa Martino is a Research fellow at the Department of Precision Medicine, University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”, Naples, Italy. She worked as a Research Assistant in Biochemistry at the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics at the University of Campania L. Vanvitelli in Italy from 1999 to 2003. Her major research interests lie in the areas of molecular mechanisms of cellular redox homeostasis in the control of human chronic degenerative diseases, with particular regard to cancer and type 2 diabetes, and the biochemistry of bioactive naturally occurring food metabolites with antioxidant and anticancer properties. She is a member of the Italian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
