Rosanna Mancari has been working at Istituti Fisioterapici Ospitalieri (IFO) since 2020, after 12 years spent at the European Institute of Oncology in Milan, where she consolidated her experience in ultrasound diagnosis and the treatment of gynecological neoplasms, with particular attention paid to the systemic treatments of these neoplasms, and participating in numerous experimental clinical studies on the medical treatment of gynecological neoplasms. Her specialization began in Catania and continued at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart–Agostino Gemelli–in Rome, where she acquired practice in performing level II TV pelvic ultrasound and where she began attending the Day Hospital of Gynecological Oncology, and then continued with the Doctorate in Molecular Pathology in Gynecological Oncology. She keeps herself constantly updated, particularly in terms of ultrasound diagnostics and in the experimentation and use of radiomic methods applied to ultrasound diagnosis.
Gianluca Taccagni is a Senior Pathologist at the Department of Diagnostic Pathology in San Raffaele Research Hospital in Milan, Italy, and Area Coordinator of Gynecological Pathology Unit. In his 40-year career, he has made over 500 annual diagnoses appearing in more than 300 publications on gynecological oncology, breast pathology, soft tissues, and bone lesions. He has been an ordinary member of the European Society of Pathology, the International Academy of Pathology (Italian Division), the European Microbeam Analysis Society, and the Italian Society of Electronic Microscopy. His main research fields include neoplastic lesions and functional disease of the female genital tract with an accurate knowledge of ultrastructural pathology and electronic microscopy and a remarkable experience in histologic and cytologic diagnosis of ovarian, uterine, and cervical cancer as well as gestational trophoblastic disease.
Giorgia Mangili is the Head of the Gynecology Oncology Unit in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele in Milan. In 1983, she graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Milan. In 1987, she completed a specialization there in obstetrics and gynecology, and, in 1991, in oncology. In 2017, she passed state certification for the position of Ordinary Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is the author and co-author of chapters in books on gynecological oncology and about 150 articles published in national and international scientific journals. Her h-index is 30. She is a member of many scientific societies, in particular, the European Society of Gynecological Oncology (ESGO), the European Organization for the Treatment of Trophoblastic Disease (EOTTD), and AIOM. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the MITO Group Multicenter Italian Trials in Ovarian Cancer and Gynecologic malignancies. Together with psychologist Valentina Di Mattei, she founded the Salute allo Specchio Onlus in 2013, which aims to support women undergoing cancer treatment at the San Raffale Clinical Institute from a psychological, esthetic, and psychomotor point of view.
Sandro Pignata is a staff member at the National Cancer Institute in Naples, where he is now the head of the Uro-Gynaecological Department. He is also president of the Multicentre Italian Trial in Ovarian Cancer (MITO) group. He studied medicine at the University “Federico II,” Naples, Italy, where he graduated in 1986. He went on to specialize in Gastroenterology in 1990 and then in Medical Oncology in 1998. In 1996, he obtained his PhD in Gastrointestinal Physiology at the University “La Sapienza” in Rome. He is a member of the Italian Association of Medical Oncologists (AIOM) and of the Gynaecological Group of the European Organisation for the Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC).
Alice Bergamini graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan, specialized in Gynecology and Obstetrics, and received her PhD degree in 2021. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Uviersità Vita-Salute San Raffaele (Milan, Italy) and currently carries out her specialist obstetric and gynecological activity at the Gynecology and Obstetrics Unit of the San Raffaele Hospital in Milan, with a particular focus on Gynecological Oncology. She is a
member of several national and international societies (MITO, ESGO, ENGOT, GCIG, EOTTD) and has authored several scientific publications.
