Dr. Arnaldo Stanzione is a radiologist and postdoctoral research fellow at the Department of Advanced Biomedical Sciences, University of Naples “Federico II”, with a keen interest in urogenital radiology, oncologic imaging, and radiomics. He completed his Ph.D. program at the University of Naples “Federico II”. He is the author of more than 60 scientific papers. He currently serves as a research activities representative for the European Society of Urogenital Radiology Junior Network and participates in the European Society of Medical Imaging Informatics Radiomics Auditing Group Initiative.
Renato Cuocolo obtained his medical degree from the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli” in 2011, completed his residency in Radiology at the University of Naples “Federico II” in 2017, and his Ph.D. in
Biomorphological and Surgical Sciences at the Department of Advanced Biomedical Sciences, University of Naples “Federico II”, in 2020. He is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Medicine, Surgery, and Dentistry “Scuola Medica Salernitana” of the University of Salerno in Italy. He serves as
a member of the European Society of Radiology (ESR) eHealth and Informatics Subcommittee, of the European Society of Medical Imaging Informatics (EuSoMII) Board, Young Club (as Vice-Chair) and Scientific Committees and European Society of Urogenital Radiology (ESUR) Junior Network Committee. He is a researcher at the Augmented Reality for Health Monitoring Laboratory (ARHeMLab) of the University of Naples “Federico II” Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology. He has also participated in the European Network for Assessment of Imaging in Medicine (EuroAIM), a joint initiative of the European Institute for Biomedical Imaging Research (EIBIR). His research interests include radiomics and machine learning applications in medical imaging, especially musculoskeletal and genitourinary radiology. He is an Editorial Board member for European Radiology, European Radiology Experimental, and European Journal of Radiology.
Mariano Scaglione holds a degree in Medicine from the Federico II University of Naples (1989), a specialist in Radiology from the University of Pisa, and an ESER Diploma in Emergency Radiology from Vienna. From 2002 to 2008, he was Head of UOS “CT in Emergency” at AORN Cardarelli in Naples. Since 2008, he has been Head of the Department of Radiology at Pineta Grande Hospital in Castel Volturno. He has worked as a Consultant Radiologist in five major hospitals in the United Kingdom. He is currently a Consultant Radiologist at James Cook University Hospital (regional major trauma center) and an Honorary
Professor of Radiology at Teesside University in Middlesbrough, UK. He has been President of the Italian College of Emergency Radiology SIRM, (2010–2014), Chairman of the Emergency Radiology (ER) Subcommittee for ESR (2012), Member of the ER Subcommittee for RSNA (2012–2018), and Founding President of ESER. Since 2008, he has held the CDL teaching “Physiology I and II” in the CDL of Nursing,
Tor Vergata University, Rome. Since 2014, he has taught “Diagnostic Imaging and Radiotherapy” in the CDL in Nursing, Tor Vergata University, Rome. Since 2019, he has been an Adjunct Professor of Diagnostic Imaging in the CDL in Physiotherapy at Unicamillus Medical University, Rome.
Luigi Camera is an Associate Professor at the Department of Advanced Biomedical Sciences, Federico II University of Naples, Italy. He received his MD degree from Federico II University of Naples in 1987. He completed a residency specializing in Nuclear Medicine from 1987 to 1990 and a residency specializing
in Radiology from 1993 to 1997 at Federico II University of Naples. He was a Fogarty Fellow of Nuclear Medicine at the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, MD, USA from 1990 to 1993, a researcher at the National Research Council (CNR), Naples from 1998 to 2002, and a researcher at the Federico II University of Naples from 2002 to 2014.
Maurea Simone, MD, PhD, is working as a Full Professor in Diagnostic Imaging at the University Federico II, Napoli, Italy. He completed his Ph.D. in Nuclear Medicine at Università La Sapienza. He received a Visiting Fellowship Award, Nuclear Medicine, National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland, USA (July 1989–August 1991). He is a member of the Board of Nuclear Medicine, Radiotherapy, and Radiodiagnostic at the University Federico II, Napoli, Italy. His research activities include Diagnostic Imaging with particular attention to clinical body applications of MRI and Nuclear Medicine techniques in Cardiology, Endocrinology, and Oncology with a total of about 200 full papers.
Pier Paolo Mainenti is currently working as a Senior Researcher at the Institute of Biostructure and Bioimaging (IBB), National Research Council (CNR), Naples, Italy. He holds a Medical Doctor degree and he is specialized in Radiology and Nuclear Medicine. He has published numerous research papers and
articles in reputed journals and has various other achievements in related studies. His research interests include Diagnostic Imaging in oncology with particular regard to colo-rectal and endometrial cancer and chronic inflammatory bowel diseases.
