Javad Farrokhi Derakhshandeh is an Associate Professor at the American University of the Middle East (AUM). He received his Ph.D. from the University of Adelaide in Australia. Javad is the author/co-author of more than 50 high-ranking journals, including Fluids and Structures, Ocean Engineering, ISA Transactions, International Communications in Heat and Mass Transfer, the Journal of Heat Transfer (ASME), etc. He is also the author of a full textbook and several peer-reviewed conference papers. His professional interest mainly focuses on Renewable Energy and Thermofluids concepts, Fluid–Structure Interaction (FSI), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis, and water channel tests.
