Bogdan Timar (M.D. Ph.D., Dr. Habil) is a consultant physician in Diabetes, Nutrition, and Metabolic Diseases and a professor of Diabetes. Currently, Timar is the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at "Victor Babes" University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Timisoara, Romania, and is head of the Diabetes Clinic in Timisoara. Bogdan Timar is involved in several international and national research projects focused on the area of public health policies and strategies, the development of metrics for healthcare quality assessments, and the analysis of early predictive factors involved in the development of diabetes complications, as well as on the socio-economic and quality of life impact of diabetes. Timar is the founder and initiator of the Diabetes Science School, which is the most comprehensive and ambitious medical research and medical writing training program for medical researchers in Romania.
