Author Biographies

Marina Otelea is a medical doctor, specializing in occupational medicine. She graduated from a nutrition master's program and participated in several international training programs covering the nutrition field. She is currently an Associate Professor of the Physiopathology staff and has been a senior consultant in occupational medicine since 1997 at the “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest. Her current research involves the health-related consequences of over- and undernutrition and her main expertise and focus are on the interaction of nutrition intake and biological effects. She was involved in several projects related to the nutrition field and published one book on the pathophysiology of carbohydrates at a national publishing house. She is the current President of the Romanian Society of Occupational Medicine and represents Romania in the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) in the occupational medicine section. She has participated in the development of norms and other legislative acts, first as secretary (2001-2022) and currently as vice president of the Occupational Medicine Committee of the Romanian Ministry of Health.
Corina Oancea, MD, PhD, currently works as an Assistant Professor and a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Medical Assessment and Work Capacity Rehabilitation, Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy, where she graduated. She does research into Rehabilitation Medicine and Internal Medicine. She is also a senior social insurance physician.
Daniela Reisz is a neurology lecturer at the Victor Babes University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Timișoara, and is a neurologist at Spitalul Clinic Județean de Urgență „Pius Brînzeu” Timișoara. She had a teaching collaboration with West University Timișoara for a program in Philosophical Counseling and has been a lecturer at the Vasile Goldiș Western University of Arad. Daniela Reisz graduated from the Faculty of General Medicine at the Institute of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timisoara in 1990, obtained a neurology specialization in 1998, and graduated her PhD in 2001 with the work "Spelling disorders in patients with vascular pathology." Since 2004, she has been a primary neurologist. In 2015, she established the Head Medicine Center "Centrul de Medicina Capului" in response to the patients' need for integrated services for brain pathology. Daniela Reisz obtained a master's degree in philosophy in 2017—Phenomenology and philosophical hermeneutics of religiosity. She is the author of books and Neurology courses for students. The book "The Ethics, The Neuroethics and the Kantian Moral Imperative" was published in 2019 at the Editura Universitatii de Vest Timisoara. She has clinical experience in Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, stroke, epilepsy, sleep disorders, and autoimmune encephalitis. With over 30 years of experience in education, clinical neurology, and clinical research, she is a trendsetter in implementing new treatments and approaches to degenerative diseases.

Florina Georgeta Popescu, MD, PhD, is an occupational health Senior specialist; coordinator of the Occupational Medicine Clinic in the Emergency Municipal Hospital Timisoara, and Lecturer at UMF “Victor Babes” Timisoara; Resident Coordinator in Occupational Medicine in Timisoara.  She graduated from the UMF “Victor Babes” Timisoara, has been an ICOH member since 2005 and an EASOM member since 2006, and is a contributor to national and international projects.
