Constantin Tudor Luca is a Professor of Cardiology and Manager of Timișoara Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases from “Victor Babeș” University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Timișoara, Romania. He has a vast clinical and research activity spanning the past 20 years, with a special interest in electrophysiology (electrical and morphological left atrium remodeling, ablative treatment in selected categories of patients, e.g., pediatric population, elderly population, athletes) but also in the multidisciplinary area, like cardio-oncology and cardiotoxicity. His main research direction is represented by heart failure, from pathophysiology to clinical manifestations and novel therapeutic approaches. His habilitation thesis tackled heart failure, from basic science to interventional treatment. He is also interested in the crosstalk between inflammation and oxidative stress in the development of arterial stiffness and during cardiovascular aging.
