Author Biographies

BEI Mariana Florica has a BS in Horticulture (1998), Faculty of Environmental Protection, University of Oradea and a PhD in Horticulture  (2011). She is now the lecturer of the Food Engineering Department. Her work in Food has resulted in 76 publications. Her research interests include plant development, production, vitamin C, vitamin therapy, dry matter, nutritional impact of antioxidants, metabolic effect of food, and functional components.

Budău Ruben obtained his bachelor's degree in forestry in 2006 and horticulture in 2018 at the University of Oradea, and his PhD in Horticulture in 2014 at USAMV Cluj Napoca. He is currently working as a Lecturer at the University of Oradea (2007–present). His research topics include: fruits, fruit shrubs, acacia, trees, woody biomass, and agroforestry systems.

Popovici Raluca, from the University of Oradea, Romania has  a BS in General Medicine (2007), Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, University of Oradea,  and a PhD in Medical Science (2011). She is now the lecturer PhD of the Department Food Engineering. Her work in Medicine has resulted in 64 publications. Her research interests include microorganism, patogen, endotoxine, and exotoxine.
Adriana Ramona Memete received her Level of Degree in Food Engineering from the University of Oradea in 2016, and PhD Degree in Biology in 2023. She worked as assistent at University of Oradea (April 2023–present). Her research topics mainly include: fruits, bioactive compounds, biofilms, quality managemenet of food, antioxidant capacity.
DOMOCOȘ Daniela, from the University of Oradea, Romania has a BSc in Dental Medicine (2008) and Food Engineering (2012) and a PhD in Horticulture (2018) and Medical Science (2020). She is now the Assistant PhD of the Department of Dental Medicine. Her work in Medicine has resulted in 58 publications. Her research interests include vitamin C, vitamin therapy, nutritional impact of antioxidants, cancer, antioxidants.
Simona Ioana Vicas is full professor at the Food Engineering Department of University of Oradea, Romania. She completed her PhD studies in Biotechnology at the USAMV University, CLuj Napoca, Romania. She recently led the Projects in the area of functional foods. She has published more than 70 papers in various journals (ISI and BDI). Her teaching disciplines include Organic Chemistry, Plant Biochemistry, Food Additives, Nutraceuticals, and her interests include bioactive compounds, polyphenols, glucosinolates, antioxidant capacity, functional foods, nanoparticles, cell culture, HPLC, UV-Vis spectroscopy.
