Shaowen Li is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Animal Science and Technology-School of Veterinary Medicine, Huazhong Agricultural University. He graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine of China Agricultural University, receiving a bachelor's degree (veterinary major) in 1996 and a master's degree (animal pathology major in basic veterinary medicine) in 1999. From 2003 to 2008, he studied animal genetics, breeding, and reproduction at Huazhong Agricultural University. A was a doctoral candidate in the field of molecular disease resistance breeding and received his Ph.D. Currently, he is mainly engaged in teaching and research in the fields of veterinary public health and animal-derived food safety. He has published papers in Advanced Science, Microbiology Spectrum, Frontiers in Cellular and Infection Microbiology, Journal of Applied Microbiology, Foodborne Pathogens and Disease, Foods, FEMS Microbiology Letters, Microbial Drug Resistance, Meat Science, Zoonoses and Public Health, Current Microbiology, and the Journal of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine. He has published more than 80 papers in core journals at home and abroad, such as Acta Chinese Veterinary Science (including 44 papers included in SCI and 17 papers as the first or corresponding author).
Rendong Fang is currently the deputy dean of the School of Veterinary Medicine at Southwest University, the head of the innovative research group on animal pathogenic microorganisms and immunity at Chongqing universities, and the director of the International Cooperation Joint Laboratory of Animal Health and Animal Food Safety of Southwest University. He is an expert in the decontamination assessment of animal diseases in the Ministry of Agriculture and a thesis review expert at the Degree Center of the Ministry of Education. He has presided over more than 20 various scientific research projects, including National Natural Science Foundation projects and National Key R&D Plans. He has published more than 30 research papers in SCI journals, such as Mucosal Immunology, Infection & Immunity, and Veterinary Microbiology, and more than 10 papers in Chinese core journals, such as Acta Chinese Veterinary Science and Acta Microbiology.
Dong-Liang Hu is a chief professor and doctoral supervisor at Kitasato University School of Veterinary Medicine, Japan. His research interests include microbiology, immunology, and zoonoses. His current project is entitled “Studies on Staphylococcus aureus infections and food poisoning.” He has 97 publications with 2701 citations and an h-index of 25 (Scopus, 28 November 2023).
