Ildiko Unk is the group leader of The Institute of Genetics, Szeged Biological Research Center of The Hungarian Academy of Sciences. She completed her Ph.D. studies in biology at the József Attila University, Szeged (1997). She published 32 papers with 2784 citations and an h-index of 22 (Scopus, 11 December 2023). Her research topics mainly include DNA damage and yeast genetics, translesion synthesis, and DNA polymerases.
