Marcos R. Gonzalez, M.D., is a post-doctoral research fellow at the Division of Orthopaedic Oncology, Department of Orthopaedics, Massachusetts General Hospital. His research primarily focuses on the management of metastatic bone disease, and primary bone and soft tissue sarcomas. His research has been published at high-impact orthopaedic journals, and his work has been presented at both national and international conferences.
Juan Pretell-Mazzini, M.D., is a musculoskeletal oncology surgeon and the chief of musculoskeletal oncology surgery at Miami Cancer Institute. He specializes in benign and malignant musculoskeletal tumors and skin cancers affecting the musculoskeletal system. He is fluent in English and Spanish. Prior to joining the Miami Cancer Institute in 2022, he worked at the University of Miami where he was an Associate Professor of Orthopedic and Faculty of the Orthopedic Surgery residency program and Musculoskeletal Oncology Fellowship. He also was the director of clinical research in the Division of Musculoskeletal Oncology Surgery. His research has been published in high-impact national and international orthopedic and oncology journals. He has been a speaker at national and international meetings, and faculty for international musculoskeletal oncology courses. He is an active member of the Musculoskeletal Tumor Society and a fellow of the AAOS. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons.
Santiago A. Lozano-Calderon, M.D., PhD., specializes in the evaluation and treatment of primary benign and malignant tumors of bone and soft tissue, as well as metastatic bone disease. His practice involves clinical research evaluating treatment and outcomes in oncology patients. He is a board-certified orthopaedic oncology surgeon. He earned his MD from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Medical School in Bogota, Colombia. Following his MD, he earned his PhD from the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. He conducted his PhD thesis research with Dr. Jesse Jupiter and Dr. David Ring at Massachusetts General Hospital. He then completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. He also completed a fellowship in Orthopaedic Oncology at Massachusetts General Hospital.
