Author Biographies

Xu Wang is currently a doctoral student at Hebei Agricultural University. His major is agricultural mechanization engineering. His research direction is biological environment monitoring and intelligent control. He has published three academic papers as the first author or co-author and has been granted one invention patent and seven utility model patents.
Lixing Liu is a doctoral student at Hebei Agricultural University. She enrolled in agricultural mechanization engineering in 2021. She has published eight papers in both Chinese and English and has published or granted five patents. She presided over the 2023 Hebei Province PhD Innovation Ability Training Funding Project and participated in the Hebei Province Key R&D Program (Research and Application of Key Technologies for Orchard Mechanization under New Cultivation Models).
Jinyan Xie is a master's student at Hebei Agricultural University. She enrolled in 2022 with a major in agricultural mechanization engineering. Her major is agricultural mechanization engineering. Her research direction is orchard intelligent equipment multi-machine collaboration, mainly engaged in orchard intelligent mower and spray collaborative research. She has published one academic paper as the first author, applied for one utility model patent, and published one invention patent.
Xiaosa Wang is a postgraduate student at Hebei Agricultural University. He joined the Communist Party of China in 2019. His major is agricultural mechanization engineering, and his research direction is orchard intelligent equipment path planning, mainly engaged in orchard intelligent lawn mower and spray machine path planning. He has published one academic paper as a co-author.
Haoyuan Gu is a master's student at Hebei Agricultural University. Her major is in smart horticulture. Her research direction is horticultural intelligent equipment and technology. Her research topic is to design and improve the cutting seedling equipment for strawberries. She has published two academic papers as the co-author.
Professor Jianping Li currently serves as the party branch secretary and deputy director of the Department of Agricultural Engineering at the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Hebei Agricultural University. He has been engaged in teaching, scientific research, and social service work on mechanization, intelligent equipment, and biological production automation technology and equipment in orchard production management. He led or participated in the completion of eight national and provincial-level scientific research projects, including the National Key R&D Program, as well as three ongoing research projects, including the National Modern Agriculture (Apple) Industry Technology System and the Hebei Modern Agriculture Industry Technology System Fruit Industry (Apple) Innovation Team. He has won the Provincial and Ministerial Science and Technology Progress Award three times. He has published over 40 academic papers as the first author or corresponding author and has been granted 17 invention patents and more than 120 utility model patents.
Associate Professor Hongjie Liu is a master's supervisor. He started work in September 1997 and joined the CPC in December 2004. He graduated from Hebei Agricultural University with a doctorate degree in agricultural machinery and a doctorate degree in engineering. He has presided over or led the completion of eight scientific research projects at or above the provincial and ministerial levels, four projects under research, and won five provincial and ministerial level scientific and technological progress awards. He has published over 20 academic papers, obtained 6 utility model patents, and published 3 monographs and compilations.
Associate Professor Pengfei Wang is a master's supervisor. He started working in August 2013, mainly engaged in teaching, scientific research, and social service work on the mechanization of orchard production management and intelligent agricultural equipment. He has presided over or led the completion of five provincial and ministerial level scientific research projects, including the National Key R&D Program. He is also studying three projects, including the National Modern Agriculture (Apple) Industry Technology System and the Hebei Modern Agriculture Industry Technology System Fruit (Apple) Innovation Team. He has won one second prize for scientific and technological progress at the provincial level in Hebei Province and one third prize for agricultural technology promotion in Guangdong Province. He has published over 20 academic papers and obtained 18 authorized invention patents and over 90 utility model patents.
Prof. Xin Yang is a professor and doctoral supervisor. He started working in July 2001 and joined the Communist Party of China in January 1996. He graduated from Jilin University with a major in agricultural mechanization engineering, a doctoral degree in engineering, and a postdoctoral degree in mechanical engineering (vehicle engineering) from Tsinghua University. He is currently the chairman of the professor committee of the college, a member of the academic committee of the school, a member of the National Apple Industry Technology System Implementation Expert Group, director of the Mechanization Research Office, and a post-scientist. He has presided over or conducted research on 12 scientific research projects at or above the provincial or ministerial level, 4 of which are under research, and won three provincial science and technology progress awards. He has published more than 100 academic papers; obtained 5 authorized invention patents, 68 utility model patents, 1 icon design copyright; published one personal academic monograph; and edited four college textbooks.
