Yoshiki Tokura is a Professor at the Department of Dermatology & Skin Oncology, Chutoen General Medical Center, Kakegawa, Japan. He started his academic endeavors with an M.D. in 1982 at Hamamatsu University School of Medicine and completed his Ph.D. In 1989, he
became a visiting researcher at Yale University. During 2002–2010, he was Professor and Chair at the University of Occupational and Environmental Health. In 2011, he came back to Hamamatsu University as Professor and Chair. In 2021, he was appointed to be the Director of the Allergic Disease Research Center, Chutoen General Medical Center in Kakegawa. Apart from his routines, he had various societal postings such as President of the Japanese Society for Investigative Dermatology (JSID) 2008–2011, President of the Japanese Society
for Cutaneous Immunology and Allergy (JSCIA) 2017–2019, and Vice President for the Japanese Dermatological Association (JDA) 2018–2020. His areas of interest have centered mostly around immunology/allergology, cutaneous lymphomas, and photobiology.
