Prof. Alina Woźniak works in the Department of Medical Biology and Biochemistry at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, Poland. She pursued higher education from 1984 to 1989 at the Faculty of Biology and Earth Sciences at Nicolaus Copernicus University, earning a master's degree in biology. She obtained her Ph.D. in medical sciences in 1996. In 1989, during her fifth year of studies, she began her career in an independent scientific and technical position at the Department of Medical Biology at the Medical University of Bydgoszcz.
