Author Biographies

Dr. Fabio Iannotti is a senior researcher at the Institute of Biomolecular Chemistry (ICB), National Research Council of Italy (CNR). He received a master’s degree in Biotechnology (Medical Curriculum) at the University of Naples "Federico II" (Italy) in 2006 with the highest score. In 2010, he graduated with a Ph.D. in neuroscience. He has co-authored numerous articles published in high-impact peer-reviewed journals (h index 30 according to Scopus). In 2022, he was listed among the Highly Cited Researchers (top 2% in the world) by Stanford University and as the most cited author in 2014 by the ACS Neuroscience Journal (source Exaly). In 2018, the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MIUR) qualified him as a Full Professor of Pharmacology. Research activities abroad were conducted at the University of Reading, Whiteknights Reading (UK), and the University of California, Davis (USA). In his career, Dr. Iannotti carried out pioneering studies on the role of endocannabinoids and plant-derived cannabinoids in rare forms of skeletal muscle disorders and drug-resistant pediatric epilepsies.
