Inmaculada Méndez-Freije is a researcher in the Department of Psychology at the University of Oviedo, in the area of Education and Developmental Psychology. Her main research areas include language skills and neurodevelopmental disorders such as DLD and ADHD. More specifically, her research mainly focuses on the early assessment and intervention of Literacy Learning Disabilities in children with DLD and/or ADHD. She is the author of articles and book chapters published in both Spanish and English. Inmaculada Méndez-Freije has made several contributions in national an international conferences, having taken part in the organizing committee of the 44th Conference for the International Academy for Research in Learning Disabilities, which took place in Oviedo in 2022.
Dr. Débora Areces is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Oviedo, in the area of Education and Developmental Psychology. Her main research areas include Virtual Reality and Neurodevelopmental Disorders. More specifically, her research mainly focuses on the early assessment and intervention of ADHD and learning disabilities from an innovative perspective. She is the author of many articles and book chapters published in both Spanish and English and she has made several contributions to national and international conferences, having taken part in the organizing committee in several of them. Moreover, she has participated in national and European projects related to Learning Disabilities, ADHD and Self-Regulated Learning.
Dr. Celestino Rodríguez is a chair in the Department
of Psychology and Dean at the Faculty of Teaching Training and Education
(University of Oviedo) Spain. His main research areas include learning disabilities,
ADHD, and SRL (Self-regulated Learning). He is an author of more than 130 papers
in peer-reviewed international journals, around 50 chapters, and has contributed to
Education, Psychology, and Higher Education books and handbooks. He has made
several contributions to national and international conferences (USA,
Switzerland, Holland, Italy, Portugal, etc.). He has collaborated with
researchers from different countries through different projects and research
stays. He is also an Editor of different Journals and a member of the
International Association of Research in Learning Disabilities (IARLD).
