Sousana K. Papadopoulou obtained her PhD in Sports Nutrition from Aristotle University. Currently, she is working as an Associate Professor in the topic of human nutrition and public health at the Department of Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics, School of Health Sciences, International Hellenic University. Her research interests include women nutrition; uterine fibroids; Childhood/Pediatric; Anthropometric Measurements; Nutritional Requirements; physical activity; Dietetics; nutrition; Obesity Abdominal Obesity.
Vasileios Papaliagkas received his Doctor of Medicine from
Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2002. With more than 15 years of
experience in clinical neurophysiology, He is an associate professor at
International Hellenic University (IHU), where he teaches and supervises
students at the Department of Biomedical Sciences. He is also a scientific
associate of the Department of Neurology at AHEPA University Hospital, where he
conducts the Dementia Outpatient Clinic as well as teaching the 4th-year medical
students. He has multiple publications and honors in his field, and he is a
member of the Professional Interest Area on “Electrophysiology of Alzheimer’s
Disease”. He is passionate about teaching, mentoring, and collaborating with
colleagues and students from diverse backgrounds and disciplines.
Maria Chatzidimitriou is currently working as a Professor of Medical Microbiology, Biomedical Sciences, International Hellenic University. She obtained her medical doctor degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She graduated from Anatolia American College with a strong professional education. She is skilled in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Clinical Research, Medicine, Science, and Immunology.
Constantinos Giaginis received his chemistry degree from the Department of Chemistry, University of Athens; his M.S. degree and Ph.D. from the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, University of Athens; and a second Ph.D. from the Medical School, University of Athens. He is an Associate Professor in the field of human nutrition, wellness, and health in the Department of Food Science and Nutrition, University of the Aegean, Greece. His research focuses on the fields of human nutrition, wellness, public health, nutritional pathophysiology, nutritional epidemiology, and food toxicology. His current research deals with the potential effects of nutritional habits on several pathophysiological disease states, such as obesity, diabetes, atherosclerosis, neurodegenerative diseases, and cancer. His research interests also include the assessment of physicochemical properties, such as lipophilicity, solubility, and ionization, of drugs, natural bioactive compounds, and toxic compounds about their biological activity or toxicity, as well as their absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (ADME) parameters and their pharmacokinetic and toxicokinetic profiles. He has currently published 208 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers with an h-index of 43 and 6000 citations; he has coordinated 250 peer-reviewed presentations at international and national congresses.
