Wei Wang is a Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and Dean of the School of Pharmacy at the TCM and Ethnomedicine Innovation & Development International Laboratory, School of Pharmacy, Hunan University of Chinese Medicine, Changsha, China. His teaching disciplines include "Natural Medicinal Chemistry", "Pharmaceutical English", and "Doctoral English", and his interests include the discovery and activity analysis of active substances in traditional Chinese medicine and natural medicines and the establishment of new high-throughput screening methods and research on targeted synergy. He has been awarded the Yangtze River Scholar Distinguished Professor of the Ministry of Education "Young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions" of the National Hundreds and Thousands of Talents Project. He recently led the National Natural Science Foundation of China (82174078, 2022/01-2025/12, in charge); the National Key R&D Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology (2018YFC1707902, hosted from 2018/01-2023/12); and the special project of basic scientific and technological resources survey of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China.
Bin Li is an Associate Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the TCM and Ethnomedicine Innovation & Development International Laboratory, Traditional Medicine Research Center, School of Pharmacy, Hunan University of Chinese Medicine, Changsha, China. She serves as the Director of the Tujia Medicine Branch of the Chinese Society of Ethnographic Medicine, a Member of the Hunan Province Traditional Chinese Medicine Natural Medicinal Chemistry Professional Committee, a Member of the Chinese Medicinal Chemistry Branch of the Chinese Society of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the Director of the Chinese Medicinal Chemistry Branch of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine. Her teaching disciplines include "Natural Medicinal Chemistry", "Spectral Analysis", and "Chinese Medicinal Chemistry", and her interests include Natural Medicinal Chemistry and Analysis and Research on the pharmacodynamic material basis of Hunan characteristic traditional Chinese medicine and ethnic medicine. She has been awarded the First Prize of the Hunan Province Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Award.
