Fay Gary is the Medical Mutual of Ohio Kent W. Clapp Chair, professor of nursing at the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, and a professor at the Department of Psychiatry of the School of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH, USA. She received her bachelor's degree in nursing and sociology from Florida A&M University, her master's degree in psychiatric nursing (child and adolescent) and anthropology from Saint Xavier College in Chicago, IL, USA, and her doctorate in childhood behavioral disorders and anthropology from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL, USA. Her research interests focus on the prevention of mental health problems, attention deficit and hyperactivity in children, depression in African-Americans, and homeless and runaway youth.
Joachim G. Voss is the Independence Foundation Professor of Nursing Education, Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing and program director of the Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing Program, Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing. He is also an affiliate associate professor in global health with a research focus on finding community solutions to climate change and improving health. His BSN- and MS-equivalent degrees are from the County Hospital in Möckmühl, Germany and the University of Bremen, Germany. He completed his PhD at the University of California in San Francisco. His research focuses on the development of biomarkers for fatigue and the symptom management of HIV-related symptoms. He serves on the national research committee of the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care (ANAC) and the Oncology Nursing Society.
