Prof. Dr.
Gian Luigi Gigli is currently Senior Professor of Neurology in the Department of
Medical Area (DAME), University of Udine in Udine, Italy, after working until
2022 as a Full Professor and Director of the School of Specialization in
Neurology in the same university and Director of Clinical Neurology in the
University Hospital of Udine. His main research interests include Sleep,
Epilepsy, Stroke, and Neurodegenerative diseases. He is serving as an editorial
member and reviewer on several international-reputed journals. He has been a
Member of the Italian National Health Council, the President of the Italian
Sleep Society, and a Member of the Board of the Italian Neurological Society. He
has also been the President of the International Federation of Catholic Medical
Associations and a Member of the Pontifical Academy for Life. He has authored
