Roberta D'Assante holds a post-doc role at the Department of Translational Medical Sciences, University of Naples Federico II. She earned her bachelor's in General and Applied Biology (I level degree), bachelor's in Biological Sciences (II level degree), and PhD at the University of Naples Federico II, in 2008, 2011, and 2016, respectively. Her research keywords include heart failure, exercise, biomarkers, and cardiovascular endocrinology.
Dr. Eduardo Bossone MD, PhD, FCCP, FESC, FACC graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Naples Federico II. He is a specialist in cardiology and respiratory diseases and has a PhD in cardiovascular sciences. He is a fellow of the European Society of Cardiology, American College of Chest Physicians, and American College of Cardiology, and Adjunct Professor at the Cardiology Fellowship Program and International PhD Program in Cardiovascular Pathophysiology and Therapeutics, University of Naples. In 2006, for his scientific merits, he was awarded the title of scholar of the Italian Society of Cardiology.
Antonio Cittadini is a Specialist in Cardiology, Director of the Division of Internal Medicine, Metabolism & Rehabilitation, and Professor of Internal Medicine at the Federico II University Hospital, Naples, Italy. He is also the Director and Chief of the Steering Committee of the Italian Registry of CHF patients called T.O.S.Ca. In addition, he is the winner of the Grant for Growth and Innovation, 2016. His scientific career and publications have been mainly devoted to secondary prevention in post-infarction and chronic heart failure patients. He is currently developing international collaborations focused on the identification of biomarkers that may improve cardiovascular risk assessment for primary and secondary prevention. Furthermore, he has also a particular interest in developing cardiovascular prevention strategies for patients with cancer and developing specific protocols for patients with COPD/pulmonary hypertension and diabetes. His major research interests include endocrine comorbidities in heart failure; cardiovascular endocrinology; and the role of growth hormone and insulin-like growth factor-1 in cardiovascular physiology and as potential therapeutic agents in cardiac diseases.
Alberto Maria Marra is Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine (RTDb) and Attending Physician at the Department of Translational Medical Sciences, Federico II School of Medicine and University Hospital, Naples. From 2016 to 2019, he held a post-doc Clinical Research Fellow position at IRCCS SDN Research Institute, Naples, Italy. He earned his PhD in Experimental Medicine at “Sapienza” University of Rome in 2019. He holds a membership in the European Federation of Internal Medicine, the Italian Society of Internal Medicine, and the German Society of Cardiology.
