André Moreira-Rosario currently serves as an Invited Assistant Professor at the NOVA Medical School, NOVA University Lisbon, and integrated researcher at the Center for Research in Health Technologies and Services (CINTESIS) and RISE. He earned his Ph.D. in Biomedicine and a Master’s in Innovation and Technological Entrepreneurship (MIETE) from the University of Porto.
Prof. Ana Faria is an Associate Professor at Nova Medical School, NOVA University Lisbon. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry in 2003, a Master's in Chemistry in 2005, and a Ph.D. in Chemistry in 2010 from the University of Porto. Her main areas of interest are polyphenols and their relationship to health, in particular, the bilateral effect between polyphenols and microbiota and the impact on obesity and neuroinflammation. She has 90 publications with 3989 citations and an h-index of 32 (Scopus, 23 October 2023).
Prof. Dr. Conçeição Calhau is a Full Professor at NOVA Medical School, where she coordinates the Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition Sciences, the Master’s Degree in Human Nutrition and Metabolism and the Academic Area of Nutrition and Lifestyles. Her main research interests focus on polyphenols, endocrine disruptors, metabolic dysfunction, and, more recently, iodine nutritional state monitoring in school-age children and pregnant women, which has led her to participate in several research projects with national and European funds involving the Agriculture and Food Industry. She coordinates the Nutrition group of the Portuguese Clinical Research Infrastructure Network PtCRIN, besides being in office as President of the Jurisdictional Council of the Order of Nutritionists (2015–2019) and a consulting member of several scientific and medical associations and societies.
Anita MacDonald is the Consultant Dietitian in Inherited Metabolic Disorders at Birmingham Children’s Hospital and an Honorary Professor in Dietetics at Plymouth University, UK. She has a wealth of experience in pediatric dietetics, having worked as a clinical dietetic specialist for over 40 years. She is a member of numerous UK and international committees. She is on the Scientific Advisory Committee of the ESPKU and a member of the Medical Advisory Committee for the NSPKU. She is an active researcher on phenylketonuria and has a number of Ph.D. and Master's students. She has lectured in more than 40 different countries on topics relating to nutrition
Júlio-César Rocha is a Nutritionist with a postgraduate qualification in Clinical Nutrition from the Faculty of Nutrition and Food Sciences–University of Porto. He received his Ph.D. in Metabolism from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Porto. He is an Assistant Professor at NOVA Medical School teaching in the field of Nutrition and Metabolism. He is also a Nutritionist member of the clinical team at the Reference Centre of Inherited Metabolic Diseases at Centro Hospitalar Universitário Lisboa Central.
