Carmine Selleri is a Full Professor of Hematology at the Department of Medicine, Surgery, and Dentistry at the "Scuola Medica Salernitana", University of Salerno, and he is the Chief Director of the Hematology and Transplant Center and of the Oncohematology Department of the University Hospital "San Giovanni di Dio e Ruggi d'Aragona" of Salerno, Italy. He earned his M.D. degree from the University of Naples in 1983 and completed his residency in Oncology at the same university in 1986 and in Hematology at the Catholic University of Rome, Italy, with full marks in 1989. He has been a guest researcher at the Hematology Branch, NHLBI, NIH, Bethesda, MD, USA, from 1993 to 1995, while, from 1984 to 2004, he worked as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Hematology at Federico II University of Naples, Italy. He was responsible for the Allogeneic Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at Federico II University of Naples from 1995 to 2005. During 2005-2010, he served as a Director of the Bone Marrow Transplant Program at Federico II University of Naples. He is a member of the American Society of Hematology, the International Society of Experimental Hematology, the Aplastic Anemia and Late Effects Working Party, and EBMT. He has authored over 208 publications, with a total citation count of 7949 and an h-index of 45 (Scopus).
