His research primarily focuses on the interdisciplinary field of inorganic chemistry and nanomaterials, particularly carbon-based hybrid materials and structures in π-conjugated systems. He is actively involved in the development and application of these materials in the field of new energy materials and devices, and biomedical nanomaterials and devices. To date, he has served as the first/corresponding author for publications in prestigious international SCI academic journals such as Nat. Commun., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Matter, Adv. Mater., Adv. Energ. Mater., Adv. Func. Mater., Nano-Micro Lett., ACS Nano, ACS Energy Lett., Nano Energy, among others. His papers have been cited over 5000 times. He has led three projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (two general projects and one youth project), two projects funded by the Beijing Natural Science Foundation (both general projects, with one being an outstanding completion project), and received support from the Beijing Institute of Technology's Special Program for Innovative Talents in Science and Technology and Beijing Municipal Educational Reform Project, among others.
