Author Biographies

Dr. Yoshitaka Ikeda is a Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Saga University. He completed his Ph.D. studies at the Graduate School of Medicine, Osaka University. He is the Councilor of the Japanese Biochemical Society and the Japanese Society of Carbohydrate Research. His fields of specialization are biomolecular chemistry, analytical chemistry, bio-related chemistry, functional biochemistry, and general medical chemistry. His scientific interests are focused on the study of enzymology, N-glycan, glycosylation, and glycosyltransferase.
Dr. Junichi Fujii is a Professor at the Graduate School of Medical Science, Yamagata University. He completed his Ph.D. studies in the Division of Medicine, Graduate School, Osaka University, in 1988. He is a member of the Editorial Board of Scientific Reports, the World Journal of Biological Chemistry, the Journal of Clinical Biochemistry and Nutrition, and the Journal of Biochemistry. He has published over 250 peer-reviewed papers, with an H-index of 59 (Scopus, 25 October 2023). His scientific interests are focused on the study of life science/pathological biochemistry and life science/medical biochemistry.
