Dr. Jianan Huang is a professor in the College of Horticulture at Hunan Agricultural University. He is the director of the Key Laboratory of Tea Science in the Ministry of Education at Hunan Agricultural University, the academic leader in the direction of molecular biology and germplasm innovation of tea tree, and the chief expert of major scientific and technological special projects in Hunan Province. He is a member of the Professional Committee of Sensory Evaluation and Inspection of Tea of the Tea Society of China. He has participated in more than 30 projects by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the International Science and Technology Cooperation Program. He has been awarded two second prizes for National Scientific and Technological Progress, three first prizes for Hunan Provincial Scientific and Technological Progress, and one Excellent Academic Paper Award from the China Association for Science and Technology. He authorized more than 20 national patents, edited Tea Evaluation and Inspection, participated in the editing of the Tea Biochemistry Experimental Textbook and other unified teaching materials for national higher education institutions in agriculture, and was awarded the National Outstanding Teaching Material Award twice. He has published more than 200 academic papers in domestic and international journals, and was honored as the National Outstanding Tea Science and Technology Worker by the Tea Society of China in 2016.
Dr. Zhonghua Liu is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the Hunan Agricultural University. He is the director of the Academic Committee of Hunan Agricultural University, director of the National Engineering Research Center for the Utilization of Plant Functional Ingredients, director of the Key Laboratory of Tea Science of the Ministry of Education, and the leader of the discipline of Tea Science at Hunan Agricultural University. He received his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Chemistry, Tsinghua University. He is mainly engaged in research and teaching in the direction of the deep processing of tea and utilization of its functional components, tea processing theory and technology, tea drinking and health, etc. He was awarded the second prize for National Scientific and Technological Progress in 2017. He has presided over more than 30 national and provincial projects. He has been authorized for more than 50 national invention patents and has published more than 400 papers in academic journals both in China and abroad, with more than 60 papers in SCI. He has also edited or co-edited several academic monographs.
Dr. Kunbo Wang is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the College of Horticulture, Hunan Agricultural University. He is recognized as a New Century Outstanding Talent by the Ministry of Education of China, a Young Backbone Teacher of Hunan Province, and leader of the Key Industry Innovation Team of Hubei Provincial Talent Office. He is also an expert in the National Natural Science Foundation of China, an expert according to the Ministry of Education Science and Technology Award, and a member of the China Tea Baidu Expert Committee. He is mainly engaged in research on the chemistry of tea's functional components and the utilization of plant functional components. He has presided over two projects by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, one project by the National Key Research and Development Program, and more than 20 provincial and ministerial-level projects. He has won one first prize in the Hunan Provincial Science and Technology Progress Awards and one Hunan Provincial Science and Technology Innovation Award; he has published more than 60 papers, of which more than 20 are SCI-recorded; he won the Hunan Provincial Outstanding Master's Degree Thesis in 2004, the Hunan Provincial Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation and the National Nomination Prize for an Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation in 2010, and the Youth Science and Technology Prize of the Tea Society of China in 2017.
