Armin Djamei is a Professor of Plant Pathology at the
Institute of Crop Science and Resource Conservation (INRES), University of Bonn.
He completed his Ph.D. studies at the University of Vienna in 2007. He was a Postdoctoral
fellow at the laboratory of Prof. Dr. Heribert Hirt, Max Perutz laboratories,
Vienna (2007), a Postdoctoral fellow at the laboratory of Prof. Regine Kahmann,
Max Planck Institute for Terrestrial Microbiology, Marburg (2007–2013), a Junior
Group leader at the GMI, Gregor Mendel Institute of molecular plant biology in
Vienna (2013–2019), and a Group leader at the IPK, Group Biotrophy &
Immunity, Gatersleben (2019–2020). His research topics include plant immunity; plant
pathogens; synthetic biology.
