Iman Asadi is a research fellow at the University for Continuing Education Krems, Krems an der Donau, Austria. He worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the School of Mechanical Engineering, University of Tehran, and as a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Structural Engineering, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). His research background is in the thermal properties of concrete, and he has experience in applying PCMs to concrete to enhance cement-based materials' sustainability and energy efficiency.
Stefan Jacobsen is teaching concrete materials at the master’s and PhD levels at NTNU, Trondheim, Norway. He has worked in the concrete industry and in research as a contractor and at a private research institute, and he spent a year at Université Laval and a year at Princeton University. His research and teaching interests include fresh concrete rheology, the robotic production of sprayed concrete, 3D printing, and pore structure–concrete property relations. His research targets competitiveness and sustainability: from the packing of particles to ensure low environmental impact from concrete production, to proportioning sustainable concrete, CO2 uptake by the carbonation of recycled/crushed concrete, durability, and service life. Presently, he is a member of one ISO committee, one CEN committee, two RILEM committees, and a Norwegian Concrete Association committee.
