Dr. Feng Tong is currently a professor at the College of Ocean and Earth Sciences at Xiamen University. He received his PhD from Xiamen University in 2000, followed by postdoctoral training at the Southeast University (2000–2002). From January 2003 to July 2004, he was a Research Associate with the Department of Manufacturing Engineering and Engineering Management, City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong. From December 2009 to December 2010, he was a Visiting Scholar with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of California San Diego, La Jolla, CA, USA. Dr. Tong is a Council Member of the Acoustical Society of China, and he serves on the Editorial Board for the JOURNAL OF MARINE SCIENCE AND APPLICATION. His scientific interests are focused on acoustic signal processing, underwater acoustic communication and networks.
Dr. Yuehai Zhou is currently an associate professor at the College of Ocean and Earth Sciences at Xiamen University. He received his bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD degrees in marine sciences from the College of Ocean and Earth Sciences, Xiamen University, Xiamen, China, in 2010, 2013, and 2018, respectively. From February 2016 to January 2018, he was a visiting student with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, AL, USA. From 2018 to 2020, he was a postdoctoral researcher with the Acoustic and Navigation Laboratory at the University of Haifa, Haifa, Israel. His research interests include underwater acoustic signal processing, underwater acoustic networks, and underwater acoustic modem design.
Dr. Dongsheng Chen is currently an assistant professor of the College of Ocean and Earth Sciences at Xiamen University. He received his master’s degree from Xiamen University in 1999. He went to the College of Earth, Ocean, and Environment, University of Delaware, for further study as a visiting scholar (2009–2010). His scientific interests are focused on the study of sound propagation in underwater environments, marine mammal acoustics, and ambient noise impacts on the Chinese White Dolphin (Sousa chinensis) in Xiamen Harbor.
