Alenka Boban Blagaic is a Full Professor at the Department
of Pharmacology, School of Medicine, University of Zagreb, Zagreb, Croatia. She
is a member of several committees at the School, an active participant in
developing and advancing e-learning as the School’s coordinator of the LMS
(Learning Management Systems), head of the Department, and deputy head of the
School’s experimental animal facility and person in charge of animal
protection. Her special areas of interest in scientific research are
cytoprotective effects of brain-gut peptides, more precisely melanocortin
peptides and gastric pentadecapeptide BPC 157, as well as the development of in
vitro methods for drug testing to reduce the number of in vivo experiments on
laboratory animals. She has an h-Index of 26, and his papers have been cited
more than 1600 times (Scopus, 17 October 2023).
