Dr. Kai O. Böker currently works at the Department for Trauma Surgery, Orthopaedics, and Plastic Surgery at the Universitätsmedizin Göttingen. He is responsible for the S1 and S2 safety in the laboratory of the aforementioned department and is the group leader for 3D Tissue Engineering and ECM manipulation. His research interests focus on bone adhesives, 3D cell culture, bone/cartilage differentiation of MSCs, and gene delivery tools (lentiviruses and AAVs).
Arndt F Schilling is the Head of Research & Development, Department of Trauma Surgery, Orthopaedics and Plastic Surgery. He studied medicine and molecular biology in Göttingen and Hamburg, Germany. He received a license to practice medicine in 2000, the Dr. med. degree in 2003, and the venia legendi in 2010 from the Hamburg University Medical Center, Hamburg, Germany. He held professorships with the Technical University Hamburg-Harburg and Technical University Munich, Munich, Germany, from 2008 to 2016, and since then he has led the R&D department with the Department of Trauma Surgery Orthopedics and Plastic Surgery, University Medical Center Göttingen, Göttingen, Germany. His research interests include the physiology and pathology of the locomotor system. In this research area, he has authored and co-authored more than 100 papers and patents and has frequently presented his work at international conferences. He was the recipient of numerous scientific awards and cofounded a company to translate the findings into practical applications.
Dr. Dominik Saul is currently a Researcher at the BG Clinic Tuebingen. He completed his MD studies at the Georg-August University Göttingen in 2014. After that, he held a postdoc position at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, United States, where he was promoted to Assistant Professor. He is a member of the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research and the American Association for Cancer Research. His scientific interests are focused on the study of bone, bone healing, fracture, fracture healing, senescence, aging, and bioinformatics.
