Ivana Jukic, MD, PhD, is an internist, gastroenterologist, and hepatologist in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University Hospital Split, Split, Croatia. She completed her Ph.D. at the School of Medicine, University of Split in 2021, and was elected to the position of assistant professor in the Department of Health Studies. at the University of Split in 2023. Since 2019, she has been an external associate assistant in the Department of Internal Medicine and Clinical Propedeutics at the School of Medicine at the University of Split.
In 2022, Dr Jukic was selected, by the Ministry of Science, as a scientific associate. She is the author of 55 scientific papers, with more than 700 citations and an h-index of 14. She is also the author of university textbooks and a reviewer of international scientific journals. In 2020 and 2021, Dr. Jukic was a national award winner of the Croatian Gastroenterology Society for the best scientific work in gastroenterology and hepatology. She is a member of several societies including the Croatian Medical Chamber and the Croatian Gastroenterology Society. Her professional skills include endoscopy of the GI tract, EMR, abdominal ultrasound (B mode, color Doppler of the liver, shear wave elastography, 2D and point), liver biopsy, and liver-transplant evaluation.
