Vincent Wan Shun Leung is an Assistant Professor of Practice at the Department of Health Technology and Informatics, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is also an Honorary Consultant (Therapeutic Radiographer) at the Department of Oncology, at Princess Margaret Hospital, Hong Kong. As a clinical academic, he balances his time among work related to clinical, research, and teaching. He has worked for over 10 years as a Radiation Therapist (RT) at Princess Margaret Hospital, in Hong Kong. His areas of clinical expertise include radiotherapy dosimetry, planning, treatment delivery, simulation, and mold making. He received two HTI Teaching Awards (individual and team) in 2021 for his teaching achievements. He is an awardee of the 2020 HMRF Research Fellowship Scheme. He completed his PhD specializing in a topic related to Radiation Therapy dosimetry and model building at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2021. His research interests include radiation therapy dosimetry, and AI application in radiotherapy.
Jing Cai is a Professor at the Department of Health Technology & Informatics at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He received his MS in Physics from the University of Georgia in 2002 and his Ph.D. in Engineering Physics from the University of Virginia in 2006. In 2009, he completed his residency at the University of Virginia. From 2010 to 2017, he worked as a faculty member at the Medical Physics Graduate Program at Duke University. From 2009 to 2013, he served as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Radiation Oncology at Duke University. He was then promoted to the position of Associate Professor in the same department from 2014 to 2017. During 2017–2020, he worked as an Associate Professor at the Department of Health Technology & Informatics. Jing Cai's achievements include being awarded the 2020 Young Scientist award to attend the 3rd World Laureates Forum, where he was one of three representatives from HK PolyU, and being a semi-finalist in the 2021 Global Healthcare Innovation Academy (GHIA).
