Małgorzata Białek holds a Ph.D. and a D.Sc. in agricultural sciences. Since 2016 she has been working at the Kielanowski Institute of Animal Physiology and Nutrition, Polish Academy of Sciences, now as an associate professor. Her scientific interests are focused on conjugated fatty acids (CLA and CLnA isomers)—methods of analysis, metabolism, and mechanisms of action, under both physiological and pathological conditions. She has also been working on assessing the effects of dietary supplementation of both laboratory and farm animals with bioactive compounds (fish oil, pomegranate seed oil, carnosic acid, seleno-compounds, lycopene) on the lipid profile, enzyme activity, antioxidant status, and content of the elements in selected tissues.
