Markus Tiemann received his medical doctorate from the Christian-Albrecht University of Kiel in 1992. He is the Chief Executive Officer and founder of the Institute for Hematopathology in Hamburg, Germany, which is one of the largest privately held pathology laboratories in Germany. He has a broad diagnostic portfolio covering leukemia, lymphoma and solid tumors, as well as benign hematologic and lymphatic
disorders. He is an early adaptor of innovative technologies such as comprehensive NGS-based liquid biopsy analysis, digital pathology and artificial intelligence.
