Meera Nanjundan is an Associate Professor and MBS Director of Undergraduate Studies at the Department of Molecular Biosciences in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of South Florida. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Western Ontario. Subsequently, she worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Scripps Research Institute, La Jolla, California from 2001 to 2003. Additionally, she was a Postdoctoral Fellow from 2003 to 2007 and a Research Assistant Professor in 2007 at the MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas. The focus of her laboratory research is the study of specific genes located at the 3q26.2 locus, which are aberrantly expressed at the DNA, RNA, and protein levels in epithelial cancer development.
