Koushik Ghosh is a professor of Zoology at the Department of Zoology, as well as The Director (Addl. Charge) of the Rural Technology Centre, at the University of Burdwan, India. He manages the aquaculture laboratory in his department and conducts research into fish nutrition and probiotics. He completed his Ph.D. at the Visva-Bharati University, Shantiniketan, West Bengal, India, and his M.Sc. at the University of Burdwan. He was awarded the University Gold Medal for obtaining first-class honors in his M.Sc. in zoology in 1997. He has served as a faculty member at his current employer since November 2004. He is also a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of Acta Ichthyologica et Piscatoria, Poland.
Ramasamy Harikrishnan is an assistant professor in the Department of Zoology at Pachaiyappa’s College for Men (affiliated with the University of Madras), Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, India. He formerly worked as an assistant professor in the Department of Biotechnology at Bharath College of Science and Management, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, India; as a senior research fellow (Ext.) and research associate at the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), the Government of India; as part of postdoctoral fellowship at the Korea Science and Engineering Foundation (KOSEF), South Korea; and as a research professor at the College of Ocean Science, Jeju National University, South Korea. He has taught students for 11 years at an undergraduate and 8 years at a postgraduate level. He has also tutored MPhil students and PhD research scholars at Bharathidasan University. He was previously an invited speaker at the University of South Korea and involved in several projects as a co-principal investigator at Jeju National University, South Korea. He has visited several countries to give oral presentations, including South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, China and Japan. He has also organized several seminars, symposia, and invited talks.
Abhisek Mukhopadhyay is a senior research fellow in the Department of Zoology, the University of Burdwan. He earned his postgraduate degree in zoology in 2016 from the University of Burdwan, India. He earned the CSIR-UGC NET (Life Sciences), GATE (Life Sciences) and WB-SET (Life Sciences) qualifications in 2017. His main research interest is fish nutrition. His existing work covers topics such as probiotics,non-conventional feed ingredients and their invivo applications, e.g., growth improvement, the modulation of immunity, stress management and disease resistance in fish.
